The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course
For a truly memorable golfing experience, head out to the public course located off Sai Kung on the tiny island of Kau Sai Chau.
This course has the potential to become a venue for international tournaments and, as a public venue, offers golfers the chance to play a round of golf at an affordable price – and in spectacular surroundings.
The great South African golfer, Gary Player designed two 18-hole links on the 158-hectare site, so you can choose one to match your handicap. He considers this one of the best golf courses in the world. It was officially opened in 1995 and is managed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
Golfers can also avail themselves of a two-storey, 61-bay floodlit driving range where they can hit some practice balls after dark or while waiting to tee off. There are other related practice facilities and services available, as well as a golf instruction centre that offers courses for all levels and interests.
Unlike most public golf courses, Kau Sai Chau features comprehensive clubhouse facilities, making it an ideal place for a corporate golf day or tournament. Facilities include a coffee shop and a roomy bar. A function room is available for business meetings, receptions and other events. The on-site Golf Shop offers all types of clubs, clothing, shoes and other golf accessories.
