Singapore Hort Park
HortPark is a one-stop gardening hub that brings together gardening-related, recreational, educational, research and retail activities under one big canopy in a park setting. It is a knowledge hub for plants and gardening and provides the platform for the industry to share best practices and showcase garden designs, products and services. This 23-hectare regional park in South-Western Singapore is also a park connector, connecting Telok Blangah Hill Park to Kent Ridge Park.
As a gardening hub, HortPark aspires to nurture a gardening culture by focusing on 3 key areas of:
1. Learning and education.
2. Industry partnership and collaboration.
3. Events and activities.
HortPark has interactive and fun-filled programmes for learning and education. There is also a calendar of events and activities to generate and sustain long-term interest, enhance awareness and encourage industry partners to seek out new concepts, products and technologies.
With activities like guided tours, talks and workshops, learning in HortPark goes beyond textbooks. A free guided tour to Butterfly Garden – HortPark’s latest attraction – will be organised from 9am to 11am on every last Saturday of each month.
Billed as Singapore’s one-stop gardening hub, Hort Park sits on a lush 23-hectare area. The park connects Kent Ridge Park all the way to Telok Blangah Park, and brings together recreation, education, research, retail and gardening in one setting. Home to beautiful plant life, Hort Park is also a place where garden designs can be displayed.
The Butterfly Garden and the Bamboo Labyrinth are just two of the many attractions the park has, in addition to the Recycling Garden and the Floral Walk. In addition to MICE facilities, experiential workshops are also offered. If you have green fingers, there’s even a HortMart where you can shop for gardening products. Learning and education are two of Hort Park’s main aims, and activities and events are held all year round to generate interest and enhance awareness of the area.
Guided tours are available here, together with a restaurant and a host of health and fitness activities. Hort Park is a good place to start if you’d like to explore the Southern Ridges, and you can even have a meal at Kha – a restaurant that serves modern Thai food – on the way back.
